Daydreams & Fairytales: The Spring Fashion Edit

This Spring season, we’re pushing the limits of style and challenging our fashion sense, bringing together differing elements to create bold new looks. Reimagining XCVI and Wearables through a high-fashion lens breathes new life into the clothes and shows off all that the Spring collection can do with a hint of the avant-garde.

This collection shows us that while we’ll never change, we’ll never stay the same either. From clothing to habits, it’s never a bad time to shake things up. Featuring light linens, classic silhouettes, and characteristic cargo, the Spring 2023 selection carries the season of rebirth with tried-and-true classics and all-new, excitingly-detailed pieces.

Channeling daydreams, we’ve taken to the great outdoors to create landscapes and looks that put a twist on classics. Fairytales come to life with modernized yet totally magical styles. The Antoine Tank in peachy-pink Tambourine features unexpected hardware detailing at the collar for a linen tank that’s anything but ordinary. Pair Antoine with the linen Achilles button-up in pale pink Bubblegum and style with some great-fitting jeans and handmade grape earrings for a bountiful, rosy look.

Butternut golden yellow brings Spring right to your closet with the Winslow Blazer in Brio Poplin. Featuring ribbed inserts at the sides for an impeccable fit, front hardware pockets, and a single-button closure, Winslow combines tactical power with a sexy cut and fit. Shades of blue lovingly complement Butternut, so try Winslow out with some jeans or a bottom in Navy.

The same sporty-meets-feminine feel comes through with the Lenchen Jacket Dress in army green Kombu. Full of functional details like cargo pockets, our quintessential double zipper, adjustable ruching on either side hem, and a generous hood, Lenchen is as convenient and easy to wear as she is impossibly stylish. Kick up the gear with some platform sandals to bring out Lenchen’s girly side, and throw on some chunky gold layered jewelry to fully amp up the look. While she’s perfectly casual, Lenchen makes plenty of showstopping impact.

Vertical, sartorial stripes bring vintage inspiration to contemporary looks. On our Bluebell Gauze, the pattern looks sophisticated with a touch of grunge. The Striped Otto Tank gives a sleeveless button-down look that flows flawlessly with any neutral bottom. Wear with one button open over a tank and some high-waisted pants, or try Otto fastened all the way down with a contrasting neutral. Add some colorful or gold jewelry for a pop, and slip on some camel leather boots for a finished outfit.

Bluebell Gauze comes in hot once again with the Striped Jocia Short in brown-green Hillside. Jocia features a drawstring waist, pockets, and a roomy fit for maximum cozy looks. We went for a grunge-inspired, rock n’ roll feel and paired Jocia with the Mesh Fira Pullover in deep gray Griffin. A longline, flowing v-neck, the Fira top feels like a thermal and sweatshirt silhouette combined, while boasting all the lightweight glory of your fave mesh pieces. Wear with some chunky boots and plenty of jewelry!

Channel your inner French woman in Paris with the right accessories. The Resa Cold Shoulder top in light linen beige Cremini features hardware straps and cascading short sleeves with a scooped v-neck and billowy silhouette---effortless and stunning. We paired Resa with some contrasting cargo pants like the Birk Gaucho in White soft twill. A wide-leg fit and plenty of pockets bring on the tactical feel, and balanced with the delicate sophistication of the Resa top, Birk looks elevated and classy. High white boots and a wide-brim straw hat finished off the look, giving a truly unique and editorial take on casual wear.

Wish upon a star in the Colbert Star Jacket in Kombu. A light linen piece with a star patchwork on the back, Colbert features military inspiration and an artisan touch. Pair with the contrasting neutral of the Bellamy Skirt in brownish gray-green Foothills. In soft twill, Bellamy features cargo pockets and a pull-on waist for added functionality. The look is unexpected with some pointed-toe stiletto heels, but would look equally adorable with platform sandals or boots of any sort.

Pops of ethereal color go a long way this season. Sunbaked bold orange brings the diaphanous beauty of the cocoon gauze Sirius Tiered Skirt to life. Featuring a wide stretchy waistband and cascading layers of semi-sheer gauze, this midi skirt is all about the princess vibes and making you want to twirl! We paired Sirius with the Porter Blouse in White. A classic button-up, Sirius fit the bohemian feel of the skirt perfectly. Add in some layered chain-link belts and pop-of-color shoe and the ensemble is complete.

The rich emerald hue of Vintage Teal adds plenty of personality to the double gauze Aurelius Tunic. With a textured look, high-low hem, cuffed short sleeves, and a button-down design, Aurelius makes a statement simply and colorfully. Wear Aurelius with the Livie Skirt in White. A knee-length pencil skirt in brio poplin with a central double zipper and cargo pockets, Livie bridges a classic silhouette with tactical elements. Together, Aurelius and Livie look effortless and beautifully complementary of one another. We paired the look with some knee-high white boots for some mod inspiration and unexpected proportions.

We took the 1960s mini dress and boots mod trend and made it wearable, modern, and sexy. In lavender Windflower, the ruched Aviana t-shirt dress looks soft and dreamy, lightly contrasting with the athletic feel of the piece. We called on some knee-high white boots and hoop earrings to bring out the swinging, swanky side of this dress. Worn with any sort of heel, the Aviana Dress feels extra feminine and elevated.

Lavender and orange make an elite color combination with the Porter Blouse in Windflower and the tencel twill Lorilei Crop pant in Sunbaked. Featuring a slightly flared leg, raw-edge hem, and pull-on waist, Lorilei stunningly complements the pale innocent hue of Windflower and adds some sparkle to the classic button-down silhouette. Paired with a small leather baguette purse and pointed printed heels, the color story is exciting and magical.

A Cinderella story comes to life with the Nora Dress in muted blue Riverdale. A conversation-starter, Nora features belted hardware straps and a voluminous ruched skirt that feels regal and dramatic. Nora’s functional side blends with a silhouette fit for a queen, and the piece in turn looks stunning with heels or sneakers. With a bold eyeliner look, slicked back hair, and skyscraper heels, Nora is fit for just about any occasion, guaranteed to receive compliments and have you feeling like the gorgeous talk of the town that you are.

Whether you prefer a more subdued, simple look or you’re one to gravitate towards color and maximalism, changing the way you style your new and old clothes can refresh your entire wardrobe for Spring---just in time for turning over new leaves. Elevate your style this Spring and try something different---add in some chunky jewelry or shoes and don’t be afraid to play with color. High fashion can be for everyone!
