Article: Tie Dye for Fall?

Tie Dye for Fall?

Tie Dye for Fall?

When we think Fall, we often imagine cozy days, cinnamon and pumpkin spice, and warm neutral colors that remind us of falling leaves. Still, there’s plenty of room for the unexpected amid all that is quintessentially Fall.

In XCVI’s case, Oblique Wash is here to bring the color blue right out of the blue and into your Autumn wardrobe repertoire! Consisting of varying shades of blue, tan, and white, Oblique offers a cool-toned gradient color-block tie-dye that brings some beachy, breezy fun to traditional Fall shades among some of the classically-tailored blouses and tops among our New Arrivals.

Our Valentina Thermal fabric takes comfy waffle-knits to the next level on the Strickland Pullover. Strickland offers a long-sleeve, scoop-neck top with ribbed contrast side panels for an impeccable fit and added detail on a simple, cozywear design. In Oblique Wash, Strickland looks casual, cool, and electrifying when paired with an autumnal neutral on the bottom. Worn indoors on a cozy day or out on the town running some errands, Valentina in Oblique Wash proves herself versatile, fun, and comfortable as can be.

The Ainsley Turtleneck receives a curve-flattering look with Oblique Wash. On our Camari Crepe fabric, Oblique grazes the silhouette with bright and bold color that doesn’t take away from the Fall vibe of this top. With a fitted shape and brass snap details and ruching at the cuffs, Ainsley makes for a great layering piece under a romper or jacket. In Oblique Wash, Ainsley shines all on her own, and would look perfect with some cords or jeans during this transitional weather.

Unique details continue their artful influence on our Fall New Arrivals. The Dryden Hardware Tank proves that Autumn has plenty of rock ‘n roll to go around! With thick tank top straps, a raw-edge hem, and dome rivet detailing along the scoop neckline, Dryden has the influence of a studded vintage DIY tank with plenty of modern flair. Oblique Wash brings some bohemian flavor into the mix and accompanies the laid back, too-cool feel of this iconic tank. Wear Dryden with a blazer and slacks for some unexpected spice in a put-together autumnal look, or try her with a pencil skirt and longline cardigan.

The Amos Blouse brings in a hint of vacation vibes to our Fall selection. A menswear-inspired, short-sleeve crepe button-up, Amos offers the laid-back feeling of a Hawaiian shirt combined with the business-casual, structured feel of a day-to-day blouse. Oblique Wash ups the ante of beachy details like brass grommets and a raw-edge hem, while a pointed collar and boxy, slightly oversized silhouette bring in some sharp tailoring to the mix without sacrificing roomy comfort. In Oblique Wash, the Amos Blouse reminds us of a day at the beach, but can just as easily be worn with trousers and a structured jacket for Autumn workwear or dailywear.

We love transcending barriers, and that sometimes means creating styles, prints, and colors that bring some unpredictability into the mix. We bring the beach to Fall and we aren’t afraid to mix up the colorways you’ve come to expect from Autumn because tie-dye complements just about any weather!

This season, our favorite Fall tops get a shot of beachy influence with Oblique Wash. Radiant and bright yet casual and muted enough for day-to-day life, Oblique Wash introduces the perfect hint of unexpectedness into our Autumn wardrobe–because blue is always in style, and great style never goes out of season.
