As we look back on 2025, one word rises to the surface again and again: movement. Movement in color. Movement in texture. Movement toward intentional design, thoughtful storytelling, and clothes that meet real life with beauty and ease.
This past year was filled with meaningful milestones: from revived favorites and new fabric stories to creative projects and community moments that reminded us why we do what we do. Here’s a look back at the moments that shaped our year.
January: A Bold Start
We kicked off 2025 with energy and confidence, introducing new active styles in Honorable Blue and Cobalt: bold, expansive hues that set the tone for the year ahead.
Crafted in our Whisper 4-Way Stretch, pieces like the Active Quinn Bomber and Jett Skort were designed to mix, match, and move with you.
Subtle pops of yellow added contrast and a spark of optimism - fuel for every stride, stretch, and sprint into the new year.
February: A Fan Favorite Returns
In February, we looked back to move forward. A beloved best-seller from 2007 made its return: the Gaucho Cargo Crop.
Reimagined in our signature Stretch Poplin, this capri-length wide leg brought together functional details, soft volume, and a tactical-meets-beachy sensibility.
It was a reminder that great design doesn’t age, it evolves.
March: Celebrating Women
March was dedicated to the women behind XCVI.
In honor of International Women’s Month, we spotlighted members of our team: the talent, care, and creativity that shape every piece we make.
Their stories are woven into the fabric of our brand, and this month was about honoring that foundation. Revisit their stories.
April: Earth Month & Slow Fashion
Earth Month gave us space to reflect on our commitment to slow fashion. From thoughtful design to timeless silhouettes meant to live in your closet for years,
April reaffirmed our belief in creating fewer, better pieces: styles made with intention, care, and respect for both people and planet. Revisit the blog.
May: Creativity in Motion
May brought one of our most joyful creative projects of the year: Breeze Into Style, a stop-motion felt animation. Playful, tactile, and full of heart, it celebrated movement and imagination: proof that fashion storytelling can be as delightful as the clothes themselves. Watch the video.
June: Defining the XCVI Way
In June, we stepped back to articulate what makes XCVI, XCVI. Our Guide to XCVI put words to our process: how we think about fabric, fit, function, and feeling. It was a moment of clarity that helped define not just what we make, but why we make it.
July: 29 Years of Style
July marked our 29th anniversary, and we celebrated with a special XCVI x Wearables Crossover Edit. This curated collection brought together the best of both brands: textured XCVI tanks paired with flowy Wearables wide legs, soft-dyed jersey meeting utility chic.
Designed to stand together, these pieces captured everything we love about summer dressing: ease, versatility, and cohesion.
August: A New Favorite Emerges
August introduced the Ninian Flare Pant in Twill Knit, and it quickly became a fan favorite.
Loved for its four-season versatility and beautiful hand feel, it earned glowing reviews from customers who saw it as the perfect bridge between styled and casual, office and everyday.
September: Corduroy, Reimagined
As fall approached, we expanded our seasonal core with new corduroy skirts: the Midi, and the Maxi.
A modern corduroy duo designed to anchor the season - timeless, tactile, and endlessly wearable.
October: Texture Takes Center Stage
October was all about depth and dimension with the launch of Textured Satin. With its muted sheen and tonal jacquard pattern, this fabric caught the light beautifully.
Styles like the Senneca Blouse, with its smocked waist and raw-edge detailing, paired seamlessly with the Twaina Wide-Leg Pant - a striking set that balanced softness with structure and mood with movement.
November: Postcards from Resort
In November, we unveiled our newest collection, Postcards from Resort.
Inspired by sunlit docks, winding garden paths, and moments worth remembering, the collection captured the feeling of sending a postcard home - breezy layers, soft tailoring, and textural details infused with wanderlust and ease.
December: Conversation Starters
We closed out the year with pieces designed to spark connection: Novelty asymmetrical tops that brought unexpected shape and visual interest to everyday dressing.
A fitting end to a year defined by creativity, intention, and individuality.
