Night Vision Reflections
Our pattern maker, Lana Sokoloff, just launched her new website. She is an incredible artist, and when you visit the site you will surely notice her powerful, sophisticated and (frankly) genius use of color.
Color expression is central to our style at XCVI. Part of storytelling is in the exploration of color in trends.
For our Resort 2010 collection, our designer Lilia Gorodnitski and owner Gita Zeltzer drew inspiration from Lana’s painting “The Reflection”. To our design team, the look for Resort echoed that of "night vision reflections" in an urban landscape.
And industry experts at WGSN agree “The contrasting shadows and eerie tones of dusk - Dark urban locations are illuminated by artificial light to create overexposed, contrasting color combinations.”
For the XCVI Resort collection, that vision is manifested with colors such as Night Mist and Moon Rock, telling a beautiful story of optimism which illuminates a contrast with the deepest darks.

I recently saw the photos from your new line! I can’t tell you how excited I am to get my hands the fitted pants and billowing tops. I’m such a metropolitan girl and can’t wait to debut! Cheers! xo
