Utility Trend: Mixing Business with Pleasure

With the new “utilitarian” trend for Fall 2010, we thought "what would be more utilitarian than using our very own warehouse as a set for our next photoshoot."

And while the term utilitarian literally means “something being designed for use rather than for beauty”, I think today we managed to accomplish both quite nicely.

With a cement wall background, a ladder, a fan, and our talented team, we shot our new Fall 2010 items – including wool coats, leather vests, jeans and suede jackets – while adding a feminine/playful element of colorful feathers in each shot.

MAGIC Reset

Something felt different at WWDMAGIC this year.

While top fashion designers were gathering at Bryant Park for the glamorous NY Fashion Week, lifestyle brand manufacturers were having a rather casual and humble time in Vegas.

Perhaps it was the new venue for the tradeshow that gave us a new kind of open and warm energy. Or, perhaps it was a new beginning for the fashion market.
